FRONT COVER CASE STUDIES
CASE
STUDY 1:

This is my first case study for the front cover of a CD. For
my own CD front cover I would like to create an image similar to that in this
case study. This is because I feel that it is unique and stands out. The one
thing I like about the image used within the front cover is the fact that
within the silhouette of Trey Songz, there is a collage of two images merged
into the silhouette. This in my opinion makes the front cover very eye catching.
CASE
STUDY 2:

This is my second case study for the front cover of a CD. I
like the natural look of the image and it has made me think about potentially
trying to create the front cover of my CD similar to this. I were to take a
similar image to this of my artist, feel
as if t would go very well with the meaning behind the song in which our music
video is based on. The use of an image similar to this case study will also relate
to our music video as it is partly based on an estate.
CASE STUDY 3:

This is my first case study for the front cover of a CD. For
my own CD front cover I would like to create an image similar to that in this
case study. This is because I feel that it is unique and stands out. The
simplicity of the front cover within case study is extremely effective due to
the fact that having a single letter on the front cover of an album can be eye
catching as it is different.

This is my third back cover case study idea for a CD. This back CD cover stands out to me due to the fact that it contradicts the simplicity of the albums front cove. This is due to the use of an image which is extremely detailed and looks as if someone has hand drawn it. This is extremely effective as it suggests there is more to the content of the album than the CD front cover initially suggests. This has given me an idea to potentially make my CD back cover detailed if I decide to go for a simple front cover.
BACK COVER CASE STUDIES
This is my first back cover case study idea for a CD. This back CD cover stands out to me as it complements the front cover extremely well. By saying this, I mean that the layout used, the image and the font used is completely in sync with what the front cover of this case study CD has to offer. This back cover has given me a strong idea in making sure that both my front cover and back cover are similar and not too different from each other as it would make my CD back cover both simple and effective. |
This is
my second back cover case study idea for a CD. This back CD cover stands out to
me due to the fact that it relates to the name of the album. This is mainly due
to the use of an image which includes a sign that states the name of the road
in which the rapper within the album used to live on. This is extremely
effective as it also fits in within the story line of the album. This has given
me an idea to potentially do something similar when creating my CD back cover.
This is my third back cover case study idea for a CD. This back CD cover stands out to me due to the fact that it contradicts the simplicity of the albums front cove. This is due to the use of an image which is extremely detailed and looks as if someone has hand drawn it. CD ADVERT CASE STUDIES
CASE STUDY 1:

This is the first case study I have found for a CD advert. I
really like it as I feel as if it is very simple but effective at the same
time. For my CD advert I would consider making something similar to this. This
is because the image used goes very well with the text and background.
CASE STUDY 2:

This is the second case study I have found for a CD advert.
In this advert, I like the natural look of the image as is does not look like a
staged or forced picture. The use of a simple font choice and simple colour scheme
makes the advert stand out and also goes extremely well with the picture.
CASE STUDY 3:

This is the third case study in which I have found for a CD
advert. However, this case study has only caught my eye due to me liking the
black and gold colour scheme. This is because I feel as if the colours
complement each other very well. As a result of this, I pay greater attention
to the colour scheme used within my CD advert.
Kefentse, although you have found six mini case studies, and done some analysis, you are very brief. You haven't looked at the back covers and inside panes of the CDs, and you are not clear how you will take ideas from the case studies to use in your own print products.
